Dear Gepps Cross Cricket Club Members,
As we gear up for another thrilling cricket season, I am delighted to share some exciting news with you all. This year marks a significant milestone for our club as we bring the entire Gepps Cross Cricket Club under one unified umbrella. This integration is a testament to our commitment to fostering a strong, cohesive, and values-driven community.
After a thorough and thoughtful selection process, in collaboration with the selection committee, we are proud to announce the captains for the upcoming season. These individuals have been chosen not only for their exceptional cricketing skills but also for their dedication to our club’s values and their leadership qualities, whether through setting high standards or leading by example.
Here are the captains for the 2024 season:
A Grade: Brett Siebert
Brett has been appointed A Grade captain for the fifth year in a row. A premiership captain, Brett leads by example both on the track and on game day. His dedication and commitment to the team are unparalleled, making him a true role model for all.
Vice-Captain: Jalay Pandya
Jalay is in his fifth year at the club and is a natural leader with an enigmatic personality that people just want to follow. With a great cricketing mind, Jalay will again be a strong support to Brett and will step in as captain for Round 1 against Walkerville.
B Grade: Jarrad Edge
Jarrad is a former Cricketer of the Year at the club, a B Grade premiership captain from two seasons ago, and a life member. Known for his sharp cricket brain and attention to detail, Jarrad is an excellent educator and communicator, essential for nurturing our future A Grade players.

Dipesh has played at the highest level of our club and is an experienced cricketer with both bat and ball. His creative and outside-the-box thinking has made him a leader within his group, and his experience will be invaluable this season.
LO4: Hetal Patel and Jigar Patel
Both Hetal and Jigar are very experienced cricketers and great people leaders. Their combined leadership will bring a wealth of knowledge and stability to the team.
LO5: Thomas Rogers
In his first year as captain, Thomas has been appointed due to his effort and commitment on the track and his ability to embody the club’s values. Over the last few seasons, Thomas’s cricket has developed significantly, making him a force to be reckoned with.

Mick epitomizes what it means to be a good club man. He has been extremely supportive in his role as LO coordinator and has also coached juniors at the club for many years. Mick will help the next crop of players start their journey, understanding how to play the Gepps Cross way.
